Nov-Jan update

We're liking our wee studio in the Cullen Centre now that it's redecorated, since our operations were negatively affected for a long period, so we are now proudly displaying our 'Radio Buckie' banner outside the Centre (thank you Baxters Foundation for funding this).

Last year, we were delighted to be visited recently by Princess Anne, who met with Nick, Ellen, Pat, and Zafar. Nick made a programme about the visit - see featured the Home Page. Staying on the programme front, Ron released a podcast reflecting upon the lives of some of Parklands residents. Meanwhile, Chairman Nick's interview with Buckie's Allan Fraser is a fascinating insight into the town's history and development (note: use a different browser from Safari), whilst Ron has produced a 'Dabblin' in Doric' programme with Moira Thain, who is being lined up for a future Playlist for Life. Meanwhile, why don't you 'Spare a thoct' and review the fantastic Doric songs CD by local lads Ed Devlin and Ronnie Thain now featured on our Home Page. It's well worth a listen! Ron and Bosie made another singalong nursery rhyme podcast targeted at young children and people with dementia. Also on the Home Page, Tam T made the 50s 'Down the Decades' programme, which combines well known songs with local history. Tam's next one on the 90s is already in the pipeline. Chairman Nick conducts an entertaining and informative interview about Portknockie with local heritage members, whilst  Ron, Tam and Chris have created a fun 'Homemade Jam' musical podcast.

In our 'More Programmes' sections, there's also an informative and interesting heritage interview with Peter Reid on the history of the Portgordon area, Gav Troon's fabulous 'Scottish Show' series, and much more. Check them all out.

If you fancy contributing in some way to Radio Buckie, even if it's just raising awareness, please don't hesitate to get in touch using our contact email address.
